LINSU ENGAGES STUDENTS AND SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN BENTOL
The Liberia National Students’ Union through its President James Tactician Gbelee Washington, along with other youth leaders today visited the Frank E. Tolbert High School in BENTOL City, Montserrado county. The visit was precipitated by an ongoing dispute between some senior students and school administrators which eventually resulted to the expulsion of a number of students through administrative disciplinary proceedings.
The LINSU team also used the opportunity to extend their ongoing massive outreach campaign in honor of the 74th anniversary commemoration of the institution in charge of Liberian students.
During the engagements, the students expressed gratitude to the President and leadership of LINSU for their intervention in the matter and called on the administration for an amicable common ground to resolve the dispute peacefully. The students also expressed series of concerns relative to challenges facing their academic activities ranging from limited presence of GOL paid teachers, lack of access to teaching materials, and lack of science laboratory to enhanced academic efficiency.
The matter was considerably handled with care through the involvement of residents of BENTOL and parents.
Taking leadership to the students!
LINSU @74
