LINSU and Decontee Artist Theater Institute Forge Strategic Partnership to Promote Liberia’s Cultural Heritage

The President and staff of the Liberia National Students’ Union had a very impactful meeting today, January 13, 2026, with the Decontee Artist Theater Institute at its head office on the pending activities of the national cultural festival. The meeting brought together the two institutions in a partnership program to honor the cultural heritage and tradition of our Liberian – African culture. In the meeting, the both institutions highlighted the need to hold together in recognizing the culture of our Liberian society. The meeting also gave recommendation to the inclusivity of other individuals and institutions who have been involved into this activity of restoring the cultural identity of our homeland, Liberia.

Additionally, the collaboration is aimed at the first amalgamation of students and youths from across high schools to identify and honor the cultural heritage of the country through their representation in their cultural attires base on their ethnical background. The event will bring high school and university students together as a way of demonstrating peace and reconciliation for national unity and tranquility across the country.

Moreover, the program will serve as the means of promoting our value, heritage and identity for the commonality of Liberian identity through the inclusion of youths and students across the country. The event is also meant to raise funds to establish the construction of the School of Performing Cultural Arts that will serve as a cornerstone for the national recognition of our culture and tradition. 

In conclusion, the partnership seeks to promote, integrate and build the relationship of students with national and international change makers and organizations across the homeland and abroad. This will also serve as a national moment of reflection and healing for our Liberian – African society.
